Katelynn and Ryan’s Sunset Wedding

When it comes to planning for a fall wedding, you’re sure to find plenty of inspiration featuring some of the seasons’ most loved colors, such as marigold, forest green, and cranberry. Although these colors are popular for the season, it’s also nice to go for something unexpected– like a sunset wedding with stunning hues.  And what better place to look for golden wedding ideas than from a real bride?

Today, we’ll be shining a spotlight on the joyous wedding of Katelynn and Ryan. The beauty of their sunset wedding lies in its rich color combination of cinnamon, amber, sage, navy, and golden orange. Together, these hues perfectly complimented the ambiance of the serene evening. Their wedding also showcased a wonderful combination of traditional and carefree elements with their decor and Ling’s Moments’ florals. Let’s take a look at their nuptials for some sunset wedding inspiration, shall we?

The Floral Bouquets

One way you can create a statement on your wedding day is through the colors of the bouquets. And this is precisely what Katelynn did for her big day! Katelynn's bouquet was a lovely blend of long-leaf greenery in sage and amber, sunset orange flowers, and foliage. It was finished with natural twine and a sweet keepsake charm.

You can get a similar look with a large free-form bouquet from our sunset terracotta collection. This bouquet features an arrangement of sunset-colored florals, including roses, peonies, and dahlias accented with lush greenery.

The bridesmaids carried gorgeous coordinating bouquets with a combination of roses and greeny in similar sunset colors. The vibrant color scheme of the bouquets also complemented their gowns and brought cohesion to the bridal party.

The groom and his groomsmen’s dark suits were given a fresh floral accent with our elegant baby’s breath boutonnieres. Although simple in design, each boutonniere featured beautiful gypsophila flowers wrapped in twine for a rustic chic finish.

The Decor

As for Katelynn and Ryan’s actual ceremony, the two decided to exchange their vows outdoors with a traditional wedding. The decor was kept simple with the ceremony area being the main focus of the event. The ceremony altar, which was a modern iron gazebo, was adorned with a custom floral arrangement created with Ling’s Moment florals. The arrangement featured a coordinating sunset color scheme with an array of flowers surrounded by greenery.

You can achieve a similar look by selecting a garland or using a DIY designer flower box from our sunset terracotta collection. Both the garland and box of flowers can be used to create a unique arrangement by mixing flowers, elegant fall colors, and natural greenery. Simply place the garland in the center of the ceremony altar, or take it a step further and use flowing drapes for a soft romantic finish.
