It’s no surprise that flowers are often used to decorate weddings! They are symbolic of life and beauty. The specific flowers Abby and Nick chose truly made their wedding one to remember. Our real couple, Abby and Nick, accessorized their wedding with a sunflower and lavendar theme. Sunflowers represent happiness, vitality and good fortune. Lavenders symbolize love and tranquility. The unique combination of these represented Abby and Nick’s beautiful relationship.

Flower Design Choice

The couple got married at a beautiful vineyard in Southbury, Connecticut. The outdoor ceremony was surrounded by cascading rocks, lush greenery and springy flowers. It was the perfect setting for this sunflower and lavender vineyard wedding inspiration.

With so many floral design options out there, it is important to consider different factors when deciding on your wedding decor. A key element to look at is the venue. While most venues can work with any color palette or wedding themes, some venues have more flexibility than others. A flourishing vineyard like the one Abby and Nick chose was a picture perfect canvas for such a bright and fun color palette.

Bridal Party Flowers

This vintage inspired wedding featured Ling’s Moment’s Bridal Flower collections, including boutonnieres, bridesmaid bouquets and a bridal bouquet.

The groom and his groomsmen sported blue suits with lilac ties and handkerchiefs. Their boutonnieres in lilac and gold from Ling’s Moment are made of light purple roses and gardenia, dotted with lavender, violet delphinium, and greenery. Nick’s boutonniere stands out with its brighter white florals.

Abby’s bridal bouquet was one for the books! The bridal bouquet in sunflower & lavender is designed with a free-form shape for extra drama. This bouquet is created with a voluminous assortment of lilac, white, green, and gold varieties: sweet pea flower, galsang flower, lavender, Vendela rose, Escimo rose, eucalyptus, Heavenly bamboo and the focal flower – bright golden sunflowers. It was the perfect way to bring to life her sunflower and lavender vineyard wedding ideas.

Abby’s bridesmaids’ carried smaller bouquets wrapped in burlap and lace ribbon to unify their rustic vintage vineyard theme.

Reception Decor

Following the ceremony, the reception carried out the vintage theme and color palette to a tee. Abby and Nick’s sweetheart table was just that - so sweet. It was adorned with a beautiful lush floral swag in sunflower and lavender. The extra touch of sunflowers really brightened the table and made for a statement head table.

Guest tables at the reception carried the vintage rustic theme with an assortment of recycled wine bottles, jars, and lavender and gold florals sitting on a tree trunk slab. The centerpieces tied in different elements gathered from across the wedding, from the vineyard setting, to the vintage rustic theme to the bright color palette. This combination creates beautiful sunflower and lavender vineyard wedding inspiration.
